최학윤(b.1994)은 조형과 페인팅을 통해 죽음, 우주, 창조, 멸종과 같은 초월적이고 신성한 주제를 탐구한다. 작업은 종종 물리적 세계에서 보거나 경험할 수 없지만, 각 사람의 내적 직관을 통해 이해할 수 있는 무형의 개념을 상상하는 것으로 시작된다. 우주, 시간, 종교, 의식과 같은 주제를 활용하여 신적이고 경험불가한 요소와 자신의 존재 사이의 관계를 풀어나가기 위해 노력한다. 작가는 항상 우리 주변 모든것에 깃들어있는 상반된 부분들에 관심을 가져왔다. 그는 삶과 죽음, 존재와 비존재, 검정과 흰색, 빛과 어둠 등 주변에 인식될 수 있는 모든 것들은 서로 반대되는 성향이 함께 존재하고 있고 서로 소통하고 있다고 말한다. 이와같이 소통하는 만물을 재해석하고 이를 통해 실질적 존재와의 연결성에 대해서도 이야기하고 있다. #스타벅스공모전

내부와 외부가 연결된 공간 모든 사람들에게는 자신만의 집과 고향이 있습니다. 안전하게 돌아갈 수 있는 곳, 나를 사랑하는 누군가가 기다리는 곳. 동시에 언제든 떠날 수 있는 설렘을 품은 장소. 이번 시리즈에서는 이러한 공간들을 그려내며, 집과 여행이라는 두 가지 감정을 한데 담았습니다. 또한, 외면을 탐구하며 더 솔직한 나를 찾을 수 있는 나. 다양한 환경에 자신을 던져봐야 더 성장할 수 있는 나 자신. 특히 이 시리즈의 재미있는 포인트는 내부 인테리어와 창문 밖 풍경이 나라와 문화, 스타일에 따라 연결되어 있다는 점입니다. 예를 들어, 내부가 한옥이라면 창밖에는 한국의 전통적인 풍경이 펼쳐지고, 뉴욕 스타일의 인테리어라면 외부에는 뉴욕을 상징하는 랜드마크들이 그려져 있습니다. 이 모든 것은 작가의 상상력과 감성에 따라 자유롭게 구성된 풍경들입니다. 이번 전시에서는 **“창문 밖 세계: Provence”**라는 작품을 중심으로 관객을 프랑스의 프로방스로 초대합니다.

His arm is wrapped in bandages, his white uniform stained with dirt and sweat visible traces of injury and rehabilitation. Yet, in his hand, he isn’t gripping a baseball. Instead, he’s holding onto the ropes of a swing, pushing children higher into the air. This piece is not merely a depiction of an injured athlete in an everyday moment. It’s a symbolic reflection of the weight Ryu carries not just as a player but as a father and a person navigating life beyond the mound. The uncertainty of his career due to injury, the sting of losses, the grueling road to recovery these are all battles of their own. But he continues to fight. Just as he pushes the swing with unwavering strength, he is pushing himself toward the mound once again. Baseball isn’t a sport of constant victories. Every player faces losses, setbacks, and injuries, but the true essence of the game and of sportsmanship is in overcoming those obstacles. Ryu’s worn uniform, his bandaged arm, and the dirt on his clothes are not mere details; they are marks of resilience, of the struggle to rise again. He is still fighting not just for another win, not just for his family, but for himself. His rehabilitation is more than a recovery process; it is a testament to perseverance, a refusal to let defeat define him. And we, as spectators, await the day he steps back onto the mound, ready to throw once more. The Unyielding Game transcends the simple notion of winning and losing. It delivers a deeper message that in both sports and life, true victory is not just about the final outcome, but about the journey and the mindset along the way.
