미야지마는 2020년부터 바톤과 함께한 두 차례의 개인전에서 80년대 초창기 작업부터 평면 회화 작업까지, LED 소자에서 출발하여 다양한 매체를 아우르며 실험적이면서도 완성도 높은 미학적 성취를 이루어왔다. 이번 전시는 일본의 'Seimei'(生命: 존재, 생명, 의식을 아우르는 포괄적인 개념)에 대한 탐구를 바탕으로 거울을 매개로 한 새로운 시리즈를 선보인다.
