2002년에 창립한 (사)대구화랑협회는 대구, 경북지역의 42개 화랑이 주축이 된 사단법인 협회입니다. 대구는 예술에 대한 애정이 깊은 시민들과 풍부한 예술 인프라를 갖춘 도시로, 수많은 스타 작가를 배출한 예술의 중심지로 자리매김하고 있습니다. 2008년 제1회 Daegu Art Fair라는 이름으로 시작한 대구 국제 아트페어(DIAF)는 명실공히 국내 3대 아트페어로 자리매김했으며, 매년 국내외 갤러리와 작가들이 참여하여 현대미술의 흐름을 조망하고 미술 시장을 활성화하는데 기여하고 있습니다. 올해 18회를 맞이하는 DIAF는 외적 성장보다는 내적 성장을 통하여 국내외에 대구 문화의 우수성을 알리는데 최선을 다하겠습니다. 예술을 사랑하는 모든 시민들과 함께 대구가 글로벌 아트의 중심에 설 수 있도록 많은 관심과 성원부탁드립니다. 감사합니다. Founded in 2002, the Daegu Gallery Association is a nonprofit organization composed of 42 galleries from the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions. Daegu is a city rich in cultural infrastructure and home to discerning art enthusiasts. It is also a city with a long artistic history, having produced many prominent artists. The Daegu International Art Fair (DIAF), the largest event organized by the Daegu Gallery Association, has firmly established itself as one of the top three art fairs in Korea. This year marks the 18th edition of DIAF, rather than focusing solely on external growth, we are committed to internal development and to showcasing the excellence of Daegu’s cultural scene both domestically and internationally.
